Good mat - any odors went away after using it a few times, it's got a good cushion on it and it's great for the price. My only gripe is that it takes awhile to really flatten out - I've had this for a few months now and use it fairly regularly and it's still coming up on one end....

First, let me say that I've never done yoga (besides a few times on my Wii Fit), taken a class, nor have I ever used a mat. My mom and I have signed up for a class and needed mats promtly. Being that neither one of us have done yoga, I decided to buy a "cheap" mat. This cost me $12-something. I unrolled it and it has a slight plastic smell, but that's already faded after being out for a week or so. It's thick. It's comfy. I can tell I'm going to like it. And you know what? I feel pretty smart after buying it when all those other jokers are out there spending $90+ bucks on a plastic mat! Ha! :)...
