I bought this mat to play the Wii game The Biggest Loser in my living room. I own an exercise mat, but use it in my bedroom over an interlocking gym floor mat, which is held in place by a heavy exercise bike to keep it stable. This is a pilates mat, and isn't really thick enough to run on in your socks. It's VERY stable, and doesn't budge an inch. I do however lay my exercise mat on top of this mat to form a cross. This does the job for me. This listing was also the lowest price when I bought this particular mat. Can't go wrong if you're thinking of getting a good pilates mat, or a mat to provide good traction on a tile floor....
