I never planned on using this bag to hold two mats, instead, I bought this yoga bag so that it would be the right size to hold MY mat (a thicker than normal one) but also hold some of the props that I use (block, towel, straps, etc.) You might think you could just use a traditional bag for all of this, but more times than not the yoga mat is too long and it cant fit inside without sticking out. If you normally just use a yoga mat, I wouldnt spring for this bag, but for my one mat and all my other things it works out great....

I have the 71" Manduka mat. It fits beautifully in this bag, with plenty of room for a towel and accessories....
