Most meditation centers used kapok zafu. Kapok zafu is softer and very comfortable cushion
The zafu is a round traditional meditation cushion with pleated sides. The cover is made of cotton twill fabric. We hand stuff our zafus with natural kapok so that they will not collapse after a few sittings. All our zafus are double-stitched for extra strength and come with a carrying handle. Each zafu is approximately 14" in diameter and 8" in height and weight just over 3.5 lbs (it is one of the heaviest on the market.) The zabuton is filled with natural kapok. The kapok is packed to provide solid support, and yet is soft and comfort. The outer cover is made of cottton twill fabric and has a zipper along one length so that it can be easily removed and washed. Inside the cover, the kapok is enclosed in a casing. Each zabuton is 30" long by 28" wide and may fits people up to 5' 10" tall.

I used to have a problem with meditating 30 minutes or more, but with this set it's easy to sit 60 minutes. Now I am looking forward to the whole sitting :-) The set is stuffed with kapok which make it very comfortable. Maybe I should have choosen buckwheat for a more grounded feeling. I don't know. I will keep this as it is for the moment. The only thing I wish, is that the mat should have been 5cm bigger in width and length. Now it is 69cm*74cm. My knees touches one end and my toes touches the other end, and the outside of my legs are almost touching the sides. On the other side, it's just big enough and easier to take with me. The color is sand which look nice but I have to be careful to keep it clean. Black could have been an option.
I have plenty of meditation books, but the two books that fits this set best is: "Mindfulness in Plain English, Updated and Expanded Edition" for the overall setting and "A Guide to Zen: Lessons from a Modern Master" for some techniques when your head is just buzzing with thoughts.
Update after 2.5 years of usage:
This set is the best (for me). I have tried many other sets including buying a bigger set after a weekend session. But the current one is the one I use. I'm kneeling in the seiza position instead of using the lotus position due to some problems with my lower back. The size of this set is perfect. My height is 185cm.
PS: I stopped using the book "A Guide to Zen: ..." and only used Mindfulness in Plain English, Updated and Expanded Edition for two years. I do read a lot of books but it is a big difference in reading a book and "doing" a book. 5 months ago I read Beyond Mindfulness in Plain English: An Introductory guide to Deeper States of Meditation. This is a book to do, not only read. It also stimulated me to go for the eightfold path (not something to read or talk about, but something to do). The reason I mention this is because meditation is just a tool and it is nice to be able to use this tool in a more skillful manner....

I started meditating without a cushion. After all, the buddha didn't have a cushion when he started. Well, I am not a buddha. Soon I aggravated an old ankle injury. So I ordered this set, and am very glad I did. I can sit comfortably for much longer now. Shipping was quick. I got the sand color which I like, it is very neutral decor-wise. I highly recommend this set if you are starting a daily practice. Be kind to yourself and order this set!...
