The amazon image is deceiving because the bag is too short to entirely close around the yoga mat--even if the mat also was made by Gaiam. I know because I made the mistake of purchasing one of these mat bags. If it were simply one inch longer, the bag would be perfect....

it's a nice quality product, the color is cute, my thick mat can easily fit in it. But the bag is a little short, so top of the bag is not closed completely. Other than that it's a nice bag....

I purchased this to keep my mat clean while going back and forth from yoga. It's serving its purpose well and I also like the small pocket on the side of the bag. The material is also nice....
