It performs it function, but it's a little awkward to carry with the cord being so elastic, and it puts creases in my mat....

This strap comes as pictured, in a deep purple color. It's not stretchy despite its look and the loops don't stretch either. I was hoping this would work for my pilates mat but I'm better off buying an adjustable velcro one....

The color of this sling is an obnoxious royal purple. If your mat is bright, it will look nice. If it is pony brown like mine, it will look ugly. Wish it were a dirty lavendar or something, but I'm not much for returning things, so I'll keep it. It does work really well--very convenient for toting my mat and to double as a strap during practice. Kinda looks like a big long hair scrunchie......
