Our premium, 100% TPE mats are made from non-toxic, eco-friendly Thermo Plastic Elastomer material, which is a fancy way of saying they are recyclable, biodegradable, and have very little smell. I'm very happy with this mat. It's thick and provides good cushion. I haven't had any issues with slipping except when I was sweating in a rather warm room (it wasn't a yoga studio). I haven't noticed an odor.
When I purchased it, I wasn't really crazy about the skeleton design on the mat. However, now that I've used it, I find the design very useful for making sure I'm positioned properly (centered with hands/feet evenly spaced, etc.). I've also received compliments on it and questions on where I bought it....

Love this mat! Perfect for yoga AND pliates! Cushy enough, long enough for my 5'10 frame and sticky enough to handle a workout with NO slipping.

I love this mat. It is attractive, sticky and low odor. I have only one complaint... it has a strong memory so you have to roll it in opposite directions every time so it doesn't curl. There are memory free mats but they are much heavier.
Only other complaint - I RESEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR AN ECO FRIENDLY MAT I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH... I FOUND THIS ONE ON AMAZON AND ORDERED IT. IT ARRIVED IN AN ABSURDLY LARGE BOX WITH AN EXCESS OF PACKAGING THUS DEFEATING MUCH OF THE ECO FRIENDLINESS. There is nothing fragile about this product. It could have been shipped in a sleeve....
