I purchased this for practicing hot yoga (after almost slipping and breaking my neck doing 'wheel pose' on my traditional mat). The towel side is great for hot yoga and solves that laying-in-your-own-sweat feeling during a 1.5 hour yoga class. The only downsides are: 1. you have to wash it after every class (it's literally like a towel, you don't want to leave it soaked in sweat and rolled up in your bag) BUT you can throw it in your washing machine so it's not a big deal, and 2. It's not as thick as a traditional mat (so it's less comfy). Overall, I would definitely recommend it!...

Great customer service & company.
Very happy with this mat - was great for the hot yoga. However, it is not very thick, so doing certain positions, I had pain in my hands(palms) from it. I will have to place another regular mat underneath for more thickness & comfort for future classes/workouts....
