The mat is great size compared the one I purchased for my wife (she has a standard size). I like that I can completely stretch out and still be on the mat. I did notice that my mat is a little bit more slippery than the mat my wife is using. I read many reviews on similar oversize mats and people said the same thing. They said the slippery stuff wears off after a few uses. I have only used my mat twice so I can't tell if this is true. It's much better than what I imagined because it's only noticeable if you have another mat to compare. I asked my bother to feel the mat and he said it felt fine. Overall I would really recommend the mat because everything else like the size and thickness is great....
