Mat is great for yoga, as well as the blocks and strap. I am using it for a multipurpose mat and I am finding that it is wearing out. If you need a yoga mat only, this will do, if you are looking for a mat to use for cardio and other work outs, you may want a heavier duty one. I was using this mat for p90x and after 60 days it's beginning to show signs of wearing. So, to sum up, great yoga only mat, not so durable for more intense workouts....

My wife is pregnant and her workouts now have to be pretty limited. She bought a yoga DVD but without some basic equipment it was difficult to complete the workouts. I bought this mat for my daughter a few weeks ago because she was interested when I was doing Yoga at home and she absolutely loves it! My 2 1/2 year old daughter would be jumping on top of me or crawling through my legs while I was doing yoga before. Now, there is an incentive to 'have her own space' and attempt the poses I am doing. I purchased this mat so that she would grow up appreciating the benefits of yoga by having a mat to call her own as well as for me to have a little peace while I do my own routine.

I think this mat is a good size and the quality seems adequate for now. She has not been on it very long so I can't speak to it's longterm durability yet or if the images on it will remain intact, but it looks like it will hold up to a toddler's intermittent abuse. Overall, I like it and think it will be good for her when and if she wants to get more serious about joining me.

UPDATE 5-26-11 - I have had this mat for awhile, but my daughter has only used it maybe 15 times so far. I noticed today that there is a slight tear on the surface. It's not that big of a deal, but we'll see if it spreads. She is rather rough on it, but wouldn't all toddlers be? It's still a good mat and she likes it and it makes her feel like a complete part of our kid yoga routine, so it's still worth the purchase....

Bought this less than 3 months ago. Between practices, I store my mat rolled up in the car. Had to transport my bike and the bike was laid on the rolled mat and it got squeezed. The mat now won't lay flat and waffles on the edges. Looking around the yoga studio, there is no other mat that does this. I have had other mats that have also been smashed, but will still lay flat when rolled out....
