I have been practicing yoga for many years and always had issues when I buy a new mat, too thin, too heavy, too slippery, etc. Thinksport yoga mat was great from the start. Great traction from the first practice, so no more slipping and gripping in downward-facing dog, very light weight so easy to transport but still patted enough so it feels very comfortable on your knees and back. Plus I really never realized how toxic some of the other mats are, which is completely counter intuitive for anybody that thinks of yoga as a healthy practice, so it is reassuring to finally practicing on a mat that is not going to intoxicate my body for once....

I'm a novice when it comes to yoga but I like to do a lot of floor exercises using a mat at home or on vacation. I got a generic mat for my first buy and it was losing traction and starting to tear.
After looking for a while this mat fit my price range, looked nice, and claimed that it didn't have that rubbery smell. After using it for about a month I'm very happy with it; the color is nice and simple, the traction is very good, it has a very mild smell, and it is provides better support than standard mats at the same thickness.
In addition, the company makes a big deal about being 'green' in that they don't use toxic chemicals and focus on safe, sustainable products; this is not something I typically pay very much attention to, but when a company that focuses on being green actually makes good products at a reasonable price it becomes an important factor in my decision.
Very happy with this mat....

Great mat for a variety of excercizes. The padding is perfect, not too thin or too thick. It's good to see ecologically sound products that perform better than advertised....
