I got one of these for my birthday 2 months ago. Since then I have wiped it, cleaned it, used it quite a bit, let it sit open... It's still kind of slippery. When I first got it there was a terribly strong chemical odor that lasted a while. It is nice and thick though, and seems durable. I appreciate the "eco friendly" of this mat, but the slipperiness compromises my practice. Would not get this mat again....
