I'm a fan of the Yogitoes products (except the yoga bag) and received the Shiva Pillow as a gift. It took a while for me to take it into my hot yoga class but now I love it! It makes savasana much more comfortable on my back when I put the pillow at the base of my skull (under my neck). It really helps to take some of the stress from my lower back.
It's also great for camel or any other pose that requires being on your knees. I wish I had 2 of them but I think it's a bit pricey so I use a folded towel for one knee and the pillow for the more sensitive knee.
It's also great for child's pose, just to rest your forehead slightly higher on the pillow vs the ground.
Overall, I would recommend it and would have given it 5 stars had the price not been a factor.
The pillow is very dense and squishy (like memory foam)... but one minor complaint I have is that the cover is a bit of a pain to get off/on to wash. I wish they would make the zippered part about another inch longer.

I have very weak, very flexible ankles along with very tight hips. Sitting in any cross-legged pose, from simple cross-leg to cow--even cobbler pose--can be downright painful because my hips won't budge but my overly flexible ankles dig into the floor. (The standard modification of adding folded blankets under my knees never worked for me.) I saw these little shiva pillows on Amazon a couple years back but never could bring myself to shell out the money.
Well, I finally added them to my wish list and received one as a gift this Xmas. And what a wonderful gift! This little pillow is perfect. I place it under the ankle of the "inside" leg and it positions my leg correctly so that the stress is taken off my ankle AND I get a stretch in the hips like never before. Not only do I get comfort, but I get a good stretch where I need it. Now I'm sorry to have waited so long and plan to buy a matching pillow next payday.
These little beauties are very well made and are well worth the money. The interior is memory foam which gives great support while conforming to your body, and the exterior material is comfortable and stays put. I'd thought that the center circle might be uncomfortable but it isn't (I don't even feel it). Don't let the price tag scare you away, these cushions are worth every cent....

I was surprised by how useful this little pillow is. I bought it for home use as a neck support during shavasana, and I love it more than any pillow or rolled towel I've tried. I like the asymmetrical shape with one side rounded and one side wedged. Something about the foam is just so cushy and comfy. I use the wedged part to support under my ankle when I'm in a seated kneeling position (cross legged has always been tough for me). I used to roll up the edge of my yoga mat to support under my ankles so my feet wouldn't go numb during pranayama or meditation, but it was always a hassle to get it right. I'm ordering a second one for the other side. I'm also hoping that using them to support under my knees while cross legged will help me become more comfortable with that position....
