This was a great buy! Its a bit longer than regular mats and even though I bought it for my husband who is 6'3" , I find myself using it all the time. I don't need to adjust my position as often, also the extra thickness really helps.
One note is that the mat is actually darker than the picture....

This is my first yoga mat, I actually bought it in pink. Exactly the same mat as this. It is now my spare for when my Damask mat needs to be cleaned. I do hot yoga 4 times a week, and the other days I do pilates, so it gets alot of use. I like it both on the wooden yoga studio floor, and on my carpetted cement floor at home. I think Gaiam makes good products....
