Our most popular mat, the Original Tapas Mat was the first made-in-the-USA yoga mat providing a durable, non-slip surface. It continues to set the standard and is considered invaluable for the safe practice of yoga postures.

The first edition of my mat arrived two days ago. It was wrapped in cellophane with a small white outside sticker saying the mat is 74" long, as advertised. But the actual Hugger Mugger label, under the wrap, said the mat is 68" long. I didn't want to tear it open if it was the wrong item, so I called Amazon and asked about the discrepancy. The representative, who was otherwise very helpful, didn't understand the difference. She sent me a return label via e-mail and said the correct mat was on the way. So I sent the first one back. The replacement arrived today. Identical situation: two different labels. I was about to call Amazon, but the light bulb went off, and I called Hugger Mugger instead. It turns out that Hugger Mugger ran out of labels! The young lady I spoke with said to measure it to be sure. In fact, it's 76" long -- a bonus! And all the better, since I'm tall. So if you order this product, know that the small outer label is the right one....

I really like the mat, it is not slippery when doing the poses and like the thickness, not too thick....

This mat's color pretty much resembles the picture, a pastel green. Being 5'9", I love the length of the mat and have no problems with any poses. The thickness vs the weight is right-on for my needs. I would prefer something just a *little* more thicker for my knees, but I wouldn't want anything heavier for classes.

The mat does tend to slip a little bit in the beginning, but it wasn't too bad. You can just use a yoga towel if you tend to be a heavy sweater (I'm not at all, and I only had slippage problems with my hands in downward dog)

Overall, I think this was a nice mat at a great price....
