I purchased this mat based upon reviews and price. I didn't have $100 to spend on a yoga mat, and I don't think one should have to spend so much money on a piece of plastic.
Pros:
- It's not as slippery as other mats.
- Price
- Length
- Good for use on carpet or on top of another mat.
- The purple mat is the same color as the image.
Cons:
- Even though the mat claims to be "extra thick", it still compresses to be quite thin, and it's painful to use on hard floors - the cheap mats at my university provide more padding.
- It was very stinky out of the packaging. I tried letting it air out for over a week (both outside and inside in another room), but that didn't help. I ended up soaking it with a little dish soap in the tub. I don't recommend doing this because it took forever to get the soap to completely rinse from the mat, though this method got rid of the plastic stench....

I purchased this mat in the color light pink and I love it! It is just sticky enough, large enough, and extra thick.
There is not any extra shipping fees so if you order one it will not cost you extra!!! It is the perfect gift for any yogi. When you open it it does not smell like other mats do. The color choices are immense. This is a great mat and most mats are inferior to this one!...

I got this mat today. I got the peach color, which is more like a peachy-beige aka flesh toned, but I really like that it's neutral in color.
The odor of it when arrived was a pretty strong plastic smell, but I wiped it down several times throughout today with a mild cleaner, and the smell is pretty much gone.
The quality of the mat is very nice, longer than most standard mats. It's pretty thick too (1/4 inch) which will make it more comfortable when I go to a studio for a class.
Was also very pleased with how quickly I got it too. I ordered it Monday and got two days later! I am an impatient person so that was a plus for me!
Overall I am happy with the quality of this product for the price!...
