The two cushions are comfortable to sit for meditation. The Zabuton cushion is not filled with buckwheat hulls. I think it's stuffed with cotton batting. I was confused by the description but it's good to sit on the way it is. I took some of the hulls out of the Zafu cushion to make it more comfortable. I would have preferred to get the Zafu with the removable cover, so it could be washed but decided I didn't want to pay extra for that feature, since this is all ready expensive for 2 cushions. The cover on the Zabuton is removable. The fabric is good quality and the seams are well done. I think the covers will wipe down if any dirt gets on them....

These Zabuton cushions are great! Easy to remove some of the buckwheat fill to adjust the firmness level and the covers are comfortable and easy to clean (love that they're machine washable)....
